Placement at AIRBUS SAS (April 2007 - end September 2007)
Strategy Customer Services HQ - Toulouse-Blagnac, France
I, along with another colleague, worked with the Head of Strategy for Customer Services on several highly confidential projects.
Tasks included Merger & Acquisition Analysis; Strategic Analysis; Summarising Intelligence; Analysis of Internal processes; Defining 20 year Technology Strategic Plan for Customer Services.
Final reports included several Process & Structural Maps, as well as several roadmaps for the future.
It is also at Airbus that I learned about Lean Manufacturing Processes and had a glimpse of Six Sigma Black Belt Processes, although I had no time to take the Master Black Belt Course.
In parallel, I wrote a Thesis entitled: "Analytical Process in a Large International Group". This cannot be published as it is marked Confidential.
The current economic climate in Aviation being what it is, Airbus's cost-reducing Power8 plan had to be followed and no permanent position was either politically nor economically possible for me. However, I hope that the company will be able to fully exploit the tools and suggestions I have attempted to bring forth in their future decisional processes. I wish the company every success in the future.
